Unity Linux 20.1050e Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2026-099978)

high Nessus Plugin ID 336509

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-099978 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ntb: ntb_hw_switchtec: Fix shift-out-of-bounds for 0 mw lut

Number of MW LUTs depends on NTB configuration and can be set to zero, in such scenario rounddown_pow_of_two will cause undefined behaviour and should not be performed.
This patch ensures that rounddown_pow_of_two is called on valid value.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
