Unity Linux 20.1050a Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2026-100731)

critical Nessus Plugin ID 336127

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-100731 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net: bcmgenet: fix off-by-one in bcmgenet_put_txcb

The write_ptr points to the next open tx_cb. We want to return the tx_cb that gets rewinded, so we must rewind the pointer first then return the tx_cb that it points to. That way the txcb can be correctly cleaned up.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
