Synopsis

The remote Dell PowerScale OneFS is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Dell PowerScale OneFS running on the remote host is 9.5.x prior to 9.10.1.8 or 9.11.x prior to 9.13.1.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - An improper privilege management vulnerability allows a high privileged attacker with local access to potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to elevation of privileges. (CVE-2026-49501)

 - An insertion of sensitive information into log file vulnerability allows a low privileged attacker with local access to potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to information disclosure. (CVE-2026-40633)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Dell PowerScale OneFS version 9.10.1.8 / 9.13.1.0 or later.
