Synopsis

The version of Microsoft OneDrive installed on the remote macOS host is affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability.

Description

The version of Microsoft OneDrive for MacOS installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 26.095.0519.0003. It is, therefore, affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability:

 - Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') in Microsoft OneDrive allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. (CVE-2026-65680)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Microsoft OneDrive for MacOS version 26.095.0519.0003 or later.
