Synopsis

The Microsoft SharePoint Server Subscription Edition installation on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The Microsoft SharePoint Server Subscription Edition installation on the remote host is missing security updates. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - Improper authentication in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. (CVE-2026-62827)

 - Missing authentication for critical function in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. (CVE-2026-64921)

 - Deserialization of untrusted data in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2026-65665)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Microsoft has released the following security updates to address this issue:
 - Update to version 16.0.19725.20522
