Description

The version of FBX SDK installed on the remote host is prior to 2020.3.10. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the adsk-sa-2026-0010 advisory.

- A maliciously crafted FBX file, when parsed through Autodesk FBX SDK, can trigger a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in fbxsdk::FbxIO::BinaryReadSectionHeader. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. (CVE-2026-10709)

- A maliciously crafted FBX file, when parsed through Autodesk FBX SDK, can trigger a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in fbxsdk::ExtractDrive. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. (CVE-2026-10710)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to FBX SDK version 2020.3.10 or later.
