Synopsis
A module in the Node.js JavaScript run-time environment is affected by a prototype pollution vulnerability.Description
The version of the axios Node.js module installed on the remote host is 1.15.2 prior to 1.18.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability:- Prototype-pollution read-side gadgets in Basic auth subfield handling. When an application is already affected by a separate prototype-pollution primitive and makes an axios request with an own auth object that omits the username and/or password properties, axios reads the inherited Object.prototype.username and Object.prototype.password values and uses them to construct an outbound Authorization Basic header.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Upgrade to axios version 1.18.0 or later.See Also
