Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2023 host is missing a security update.

Description

It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2023-2026-2027 advisory.

 An integer overflow in the jbig2_arith_iaid_ctx_new() function of Artifex commit cc37d0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. (CVE-2026-38076)

Solution

Run 'dnf update jbig2dec --releasever 2023.12.20260803' or or 'dnf update --advisory ALAS2023-2026-2027 --releasever 2023.12.20260803' to update your system.
