Description

The Microsoft Windows Admin Center installed on the remote host is missing security updates. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- Improper authentication in Windows Admin Center allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
(CVE-2026-56169)

- Improper neutralization of special elements used in a command ('command injection') in Windows Admin Center allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2026-56197)

- Relative path traversal in Windows Admin Center allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network.
(CVE-2026-56196)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Windows Admin Center version 2.6.6.18 or later.
