Synopsis

Adobe Bridge installed on remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities

Description

The version of Adobe Bridge installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 15.1.7 or 16.0.6. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the apsb26-89 advisory.

 - Bridge is affected by an Untrusted Search Path vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
 Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. Scope is changed. (CVE-2026-48395)

 - Bridge is affected by an Incorrect Authorization vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
 Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. Scope is changed. (CVE-2026-48396)

 - Bridge is affected by an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary file system read. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to access sensitive files and directories outside the intended access scope. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2026-48374)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Bridge version 15.1.7 or 16.0.6 or later.
