Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Confluence host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Confluence Server running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CONFSERVER-104334 advisory.

- This High severity DoS (Denial of Service) vulnerability was introduced in versions 9.0.1, 9.1.0, 9.2.0, 9.3.1, 9.4.0, 9.5.1, 10.0.2, 10.1.0 and 10.2.0 of Confluence Data Center. This DoS (Denial of Service) vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 7.1, allows an authenticated attacker to cause a resource to be unavailable for its intended users by temporarily or indefinitely disrupting services of a host connected to a network. (CVE-2026-21577)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 9.2.17, 10.2.7 or later.
