Synopsis

The remote host is affected by an insecure session management vulnerability.

Description

The version of Products.PlonePAS installed on the remote host is prior to 3.2.2 or 3.3.x prior to 3.9. It is, therefore, affected by an insecure session management vulnerability due to not properly handling the login form. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to acquire the identity of an arbitrary user.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Products.PlonePAS version 3.2.2, 3.9 or later.
