Synopsis

The remote host is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of Products.CMFCore installed on the remote host is prior to 2.7.1, or 3.x prior to 3.2. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability due to the use of Python's marshal module on unchecked input in a public method on PortalFolder objects. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this issue to cause the application to stop responding.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Products.CMFCore version 2.7.1, 3.2 or later.
