Synopsis

The Microsoft SharePoint Server 2019 installation on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The Microsoft SharePoint Server 2019 installation on the remote host is missing security updates. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- Deserialization of untrusted data in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2026-50522)

- External control of file name or path in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network. (CVE-2026-54108)

- Improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('cross-site scripting') in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network. (CVE-2026-55016)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Microsoft has released the following security updates to address this issue:
- Update to version 16.0.10417.20175
