Synopsis

The Windows app installed on the remote host is affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability.

Description

The Windows 'Microsoft PC Manager' app installed on the remote host is prior to 3.21.6.0. It is, therefore, affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability:

- A local privilege escalation vulnerability allows an authenticated attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system. (CVE-2026-58636)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to app version 3.21.6.0 or later via the Microsoft Store.
