Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the libxslt packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 A flaw was found in the exsltFuncResultComp() function of libxslt, which handles EXSLT func:result elements during stylesheet parsing. Due to improper type handling, the function may treat an XML document node as a regular XML element node, resulting in a type confusion. This can cause unexpected memory reads and potential crashes. While difficult to exploit, the flaw could lead to application instability or denial of service.(CVE-2025-11731)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS libxslt security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libxslt packages.
