Description

The remote Alibaba Cloud Linux 3 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALINUX3-SA-2026:0182 advisory.

 Package updates are available for Alibaba Cloud Linux 3 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

 CVE-2026-26740:
 Buffer Overflow vulnerability in giflib v.5.2.2 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the EGifGCBToExtension overwriting an existing Graphic Control Extension block without validating its allocated size.

Solution

Update the affected giflib and / or giflib-devel packages.
