Synopsis
A PDF viewer installed on the remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.Description
The version of Foxit Reader installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 2.3 Build 2923. It is, therefore, affected by a boundary error that is triggered when parsing format strings containing a floating point specifier in the util.printf() JavaScript function. An attacker can exploit this issue, by tricking a user into opening a crafted PDF file, to execute arbitrary code with the user's privileges.Solution
Upgrade to Foxit Reader version 2.3 Build 2923 or later.See Also
