Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the sudo packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 In Sudo through 1.9.17p2 before 3e474c2, a failure of a setuid, setgid, or setgroups call, during a privilege drop before running the mailer, is not a fatal error and can lead to privilege escalation.(CVE-2026-35535)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS sudo security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected sudo packages.
