high Nessus Plugin ID 323015

Synopsis

The remote host has a program that is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of curl installed on the remote host is 8.18.0 prior to 8.21.0. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability:

- An issue in curl's QUIC UDP receive function allows a malicious HTTP/3 server to trigger a remote denial of service by continuously streaming empty datagrams to indefinitely stall the client.
(CVE-2026-11352)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade Curl to version 8.21.0 or later.
