Description

The version of IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 7277536 advisory.

 - IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty is affected by an arbitrary file read vulnerability with the restConnector-2.0 feature enabled. CWE: CWE-444: Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request/Response Smuggling') (CVE-2026-11806)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty version 26.0.0.7 or later. Alternatively, upgrade to the minimal fix pack levels required by the interim fix and then apply Interim Fix PH71719.
