Description

The version of IBM WebSphere Application Server running on the remote host is affected by a XSS vulnerability as referenced in the 7277546 advisory.

 - IBM WebSphere Application Server is affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the administrative console login page. CWE: CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') (CVE-2026-11707)

 - IBM WebSphere Application Server is affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the administrative console. CWE: CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') (CVE-2026-11594)

 - IBM WebSphere Application Server is affected by cross-site scripting in the Administrative Console. CWE:
 CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') (CVE-2026-11383)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to IBM WebSphere Application Server version 8.5.5.30, 9.0.5.29 or later. Alternatively, upgrade to the minimal fix pack levels required by the interim fix and then apply Interim Fix PH71757.
