Synopsis

The n8n Node.js Package installed on the remote host is affected by a sandbox escape vulnerability.

Description

The version of the n8n Node.js Package installed on the remote host is prior to 1.123.48, or 2.x prior to 2.21.8, or 2.22.x prior to 2.22.4. It is, therefore, affected by a sandbox escape vulnerability:

 - A vulnerability in the Python sandbox allows authenticated users to escape the sandbox and execute arbitrary code on the n8n host. (CVE-2026-49444)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to n8n Node.js Package version 1.123.48, 2.21.8, or 2.22.4 or later.
