Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 22.04 LTS / 24.04 LTS / 25.10 / 26.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-8436-1 advisory.

The ca-certificates package contained outdated CA certificates. This update refreshes the included certificates to those contained in the 2.86 version of the Mozilla certificate authority bundle.

Solution

Update the affected ca-certificates package.
