Fortra GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) < 7.10.0 Multiple Vulnerabilities

high Nessus Plugin ID 321346

Synopsis

A web application running on the remote server is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the instance of Fortra GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) running on the remote host is prior to 7.10.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities, including:

- The login limit is not enforced on the SFTP service if the Web User is configured to log in with an SSH Key, making the SSH key vulnerable to being guessed via brute force. (CVE-2026-0972, CVE-2025-14362)

- A user-controlled HTTP header allows attackers to trigger a DNS lookup, as well as DNS rebinding and information disclosure. (CVE-2026-1089)

- Encrypted values utilize a static IV which allows admin users to brute-force decryption of data. (CVE-2025-1241)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Fortra GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) 7.10.0 or later.
