Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 26.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-8424-1 advisory.

 It was discovered that Ubuntu Kylin Software Center incorrectly handled user-supplied input in its D-Bus service. A local attacker could possibly use this issue to gain administrative privileges.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected ubuntu-kylin-software-center package.
