Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 4 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 4 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2026:0246 advisory.

 Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

 CVE-2026-32853:
 LibVNCServer versions 0.9.15 and prior (fixed incommit 009008e) contain a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the UltraZip encoding handler that allows a malicious VNC server to cause information disclosure or application crash. Attackers can exploit improper bounds checking in the HandleUltraZipBPP() function by manipulating subrectangle header counts to read beyond the allocated heap buffer.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
