The Autodesk 3ds Max application installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Autodesk 3ds Max installed on the remote Windows host is 2026.x prior to 2026.1 or 2027.x prior to 2027.1. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

 - A maliciously crafted TIF file, when parsed through Autodesk 3ds Max, can force an Out-of-Bounds Write vulnerability. A malicious actor may leverage this vulnerability to cause a crash, cause data corruption, or execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. (CVE-2026-7451)

 - A maliciously crafted WRL file, when parsed through Autodesk 3ds Max, can force a Memory Corruption vulnerability. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. (CVE-2026-7452)

 - A maliciously crafted WRL file, when parsed through Autodesk 3ds Max, can force a Memory Corruption vulnerability. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. (CVE-2026-7454)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Autodesk 3ds Max 2026.1 / 2027.1 or later.
