Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the JSDSERVER-16588 advisory.

 - This Security Headers Omission vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to receive responses where security HTTP headers (such as Cache-Control, X-Frame-Options, and X-Content-Type-Options) are silently omitted, enabling secondary attacks such as clickjacking, cache poisoning, or MIME-type sniffing, which has high impact to confidentiality, high impact to integrity, no impact to availability, and requires no user interaction.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server version 10.3.7, 11.3.5 or later.
