Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of thunderbird installed on the remote host is prior to 140.10.1-1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2026-3306 advisory.

libexpat before 2.7.6 uses insufficient entropy, and thus hash flooding can occur via a crafted XML document. (CVE-2026-41080)
