Unity Linux 20.1070e Security Update: resteasy (UTSA-2026-016757)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 316254

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-016757 advisory.

A cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw was found in RESTEasy in versions before 3.11.1.Final and before 4.5.3.Final, where it did not properly handle URL encoding when the RESTEASY003870 exception occurs. An attacker could use this flaw to launch a reflected XSS attack.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected resteasy package.
