Synopsis

The remote SAP NetWeaver ABAP server is affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability.

Description

The version of SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP detected on the remote host is affected by a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability as referenced in SAP Security Note 3728690:

 - A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP (Applications based on Business Server Pages). An unauthenticated attacker could craft a malicious URL that, when clicked by a victim, executes arbitrary script code in the victim's browser within the context of the vulnerable application, potentially compromising confidentiality and integrity. (CVE-2026-27682)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the vendor advisory.
