Synopsis

The Windows app installed on the remote host is affected by a spoofing vulnerability.

Description

The Windows 'Microsoft 365 Copilot' app (formerly known as 'Microsoft 365 (Office)') installed on the remote host is prior to 19.2604.43111.0. It is, therefore, affected by a spoofing vulnerability:

- Improper access control in Microsoft 365 Copilot for Desktop allows an unauthorized attacker to perform spoofing locally. (CVE-2026-41614)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the Windows 'Microsoft 365 Copilot' app to version 19.2604.43111.0 or later via the Microsoft Store.
