Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Adobe Substance 3D Sampler installed on the remote host is prior or equal to 5.1.3. It is, therefore, affected by a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability as referenced in the APSB26-54 advisory.

- Substance3D - Sampler versions 5.1.3 and earlier are affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability (CWE-122) that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2026-34674)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Substance 3D Sampler version 6.0 or later.
