Synopsis

The Adobe Media Encoder instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Media Encoder installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 25.6.5, 26.2.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB26-47 advisory.

 - Integer Overflow or Wraparound (CWE-190) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2026-34640)

 - Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2026-34639)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Media Encoder version 25.6.5, 26.2.0 or later.
