Unity Linux 20.1070e Security Update: golang (UTSA-2026-016817)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 313483

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-016817 advisory.

The Parse function permits values other than IPv6 addresses to be included in square brackets within the host component of a URL. RFC 3986 permits IPv6 addresses to be included within the host component, enclosed within square brackets. For example: http://[::1]/. IPv4 addresses and hostnames must not appear within square brackets. Parse did not enforce this requirement.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected golang package.
