Synopsis

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed with a vulnerability that the vendor indicates will not be patched.

Description

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

 - The go tool pack subcommand (usually used only by the compiler as an internal tool with known-good inputs) does not sanitize output filenames. Extracting a malicious archive file with the pack subcommand can write files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem. (CVE-2026-39817)

Note that Nessus relies on the presence of the package as reported by the vendor.
