Synopsis

A Python library installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

Jupyter Notebook is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing. The version of Jupyter Notebook installed on the remote host is 7.0.0 prior to 7.5.6. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability:

- JupyterLab's command linker attributes in HTML enable one-click command execution from untrusted content.
(CVE-2026-42557)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Jupyter Notebook version 7.5.6 or later.
