Synopsis

A module in the Node.js JavaScript run-time environment is affected by a prototype pollution vulnerability.

Description

The version of the axios Node.js module installed on the remote host is prior to 1.15.2. It is, therefore, affected by the following vulnerability:

- Axios has prototype pollution read-side gadgets in the HTTP adapter that allow credential injection and request hijacking. (CVE-2026-42264)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to axios version 1.15.2 or later.
