Linux Distros Unpatched Vulnerability : CVE-2026-42503

high Nessus Plugin ID 313125

Synopsis

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed with a vulnerability that the vendor indicates will not be patched.

Description

The Linux/Unix host has one or more packages installed that are impacted by a vulnerability without a vendor supplied patch available.

- gopls by default communicates via pipe. However, -port and -listen flags are supported as means of debugging. If -listen is given a value without an explicit host (e.g. :8080), or -port is used, gopls will listen on 0.0.0.0. As a result, users might inadvertently cause gopls to bind 0.0.0.0. This can allow a malicious party on the same network to execute code arbitrarily via gopls. (CVE-2026-42503)

Note that Nessus relies on the presence of the package as reported by the vendor.

Solution

There is no known solution at this time.
