Synopsis

The remote Red Hat CoreOS host is missing a security update for OpenShift Container Platform 4.1.20 openshift.

Description

The remote Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS 4 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2019:3132 advisory.

- kubernetes: YAML parsing vulnerable to Billion Laughs attack, allowing for remote denial of service (CVE-2019-11253)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHCOS OpenShift Container Platform 4.1.20 openshift package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:3132.
