Synopsis

The remote Azure Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of CBL-Mariner Releases installed on the remote Azure Linux 3.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2026-6861 advisory.

- A flaw was found in GNU Emacs. This vulnerability, a memory corruption issue, occurs when Emacs processes specially crafted SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) data. A local user could exploit this by convincing a victim to open a malicious SVG file, which May lead to a denial of service (DoS) or potentially information disclosure. (CVE-2026-6861)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
