Synopsis

The remote Red Hat CoreOS host is missing a security update for OpenShift Container Platform 4.12.59.

Description

The remote Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS 4 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2024:3715 advisory.

 - golang-protobuf: encoding/protojson, internal/encoding/json: infinite loop in protojson.Unmarshal when unmarshaling certain forms of invalid JSON (CVE-2024-24786)

Solution

Update the RHCOS OpenShift Container Platform 4.12.59 packages based on the guidance in RHSA-2024:3715.
