Description

The remote Fedora 44 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FEDORA-2026-9eecdef4e0 advisory.

Patch release for security advisory [CVE-2026-32711](https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-v856-2rf8-9f28). A crafted DICOMDIR could create a path traversal by setting `ReferencedFileID` to a path outside the File-set root.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-pydicom package.
