Synopsis

The remote host is affected by an information disclosure vulnerability.

Description

The version of Tanium Server installed on the remote host is 7.6.4.x prior to 7.6.4.2185, 7.7.3.x prior to 7.7.3.8266, or 7.8.2.x prior to 7.8.2.1168. It is, therefore, affected by an information disclosure vulnerability as referenced in the TAN-2026-012 advisory.

 - Tanium addressed an information disclosure vulnerability in Tanium Server. (CVE-2026-6408)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Tanium Server version 7.6.4.2185, 7.7.3.8266, 7.8.2.1168, or later.
