Unity Linux 20.1070a Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2026-012991)

critical Nessus Plugin ID 307748

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2026-012991 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

Input: imx_sc_key - fix memory corruption on unload

This is supposed to be priv but we accidentally pass &priv which is an address in the stack and so it will lead to memory corruption when the imx_sc_key_action() function is called. Remove the &.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
