Synopsis

The Microsoft Visual Studio Products are affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The Microsoft Visual Studio Products are missing security updates.
It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- Stack-based buffer overflow in .NET and Visual Studio allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. (CVE-2026-32203)

- Improper neutralization of special elements in .NET allows an unauthorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network. (CVE-2026-32178)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Microsoft has released the following security updates to address this issue:
- Update to 17.12.19 for Visual Studio 2022 17.12
- Update to 17.14.30 for Visual Studio 2022 17.14
