Synopsis

The remote host has an ODBC driver that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Amazon Athena ODBC Driver installed on the remote host is prior to 2.1.0.0.
It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities, including:

 - Improper neutralization of special elements in the authentication components might allow a threat actor to execute arbitrary code or redirect authentication flows by using specially crafted connection parameters. (CVE-2026-35558)

 - Allocation of resources without limits in the parsing components might allow a threat actor to cause a denial of service by delivering crafted input that triggers excessive resource consumption. (CVE-2026-35562)

 - Improper certificate validation in the identity provider connection components might allow a man-in-the-middle threat actor to intercept authentication credentials due to insufficient default transport security. (CVE-2026-35560)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade Amazon Athena ODBC Driver to version 2.1.0.0 or later.
