Synopsis

The Windows app installed on the remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.

Description

The Windows App Client for Windows Desktop (formerly known as Remote Desktop Client) installed on the remote host is prior to 2.0.1070.0. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability:

- Use after free in Remote Desktop Client allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
(CVE-2026-32157)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Microsoft Windows App version 2.0.1070.0 or later.
