Synopsis
The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.Description
The version of ImageMagick installed on the remote host is prior to 6.9.10.97-1. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ALAS2-2026-3220 advisory.A flaw was found in ImageMagick. An integer overflow vulnerability exists in the SIXEL decoder, which allows a remote attacker to perform an out-of-bounds write via a specially crafted image. This can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) and potentially information disclosure. (CVE-2026-28493)
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-16 and 6.9.13-41, when a memory allocation fails in the sixel encoder it would be possible to write past the end of a buffer on the stack. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-16 and 6.9.13-41.

ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-17 and 6.9.13-42, the NewXMLTree method contains a bug that could result in a crash due to an out of write bounds of a single zero byte. Versions 7.1.2-17 and 6.9.13-42 fix the issue. (CVE-2026-32636)
